Join us for a limited-enrollment, bilingual safety training designed for our local community, combining two essential courses: Active Shooter Response and STOP THE BLEED Trauma First Aid.
Led by local street medic squad, AZ TACmed, this dynamic session equips participants with the skills to respond decisively in active shooter scenarios and to administer life-saving bleeding control before emergency responders arrive. You’ll learn how to assess threats, make fast decisions, and provide aid that can keep someone alive. The training is hands-on, trauma-informed, and rooted in empowerment- not fear.
In partnership with Borderlands Resource Initiative, this workshop centers community resilience and solidarity, especially in the face of growing safety concerns about immigration enforcement and state repression. Together, we build not just skills, but mutual care and collective safety.
This training is part of a two-part community safety series which also included “Tactical Street Medic Training” (Sun, Feb 8). We strongly recommend signing up for both session if you’re able.
Acompáñanos en una capacitación gratuita, bilingüe y con cupo limitado, diseñada especialmente para nuestra comunidad fronteriza. Esta sesión combina dos entrenamientos fundamentales: Respuesta ante tiradores activos y Primeros auxilios para detener hemorragias STOP THE BLEED.
Dirigida por el equipo local de street medics AZ TACmed, esta sesión dinámica brinda a las y los participantes las habilidades necesarias para responder con decisión ante escenarios de tirador activo y para aplicar técnicas que pueden salvar vidas antes de que lleguen los servicios de emergencia. Aprenderás a evaluar amenazas, tomar decisiones rápidas y brindar ayuda que puede mantener a una persona con vida. La capacitación es práctica, con enfoque informado en trauma, y está basada en el empoderamiento, no en el miedo.
En colaboración con Borderlands Resource Initiative, este taller pone en el centro la resiliencia comunitaria y la solidaridad, especialmente frente a las crecientes preocupaciones de seguridad relacionadas con operativos migratorios y represión estatal. Join this limited-enrollment Tactical Street Medic Training to deepen your role in community defense and movement safety. This hands-on session combines practical medical skills with protest-readiness training tailored for frontline settings. Led by local street medic squad AZ TACmed, participants will learn how to stock and organize a street medic bag, provide first response care during actions, and build confidence to operate in chaotic, high-stress environments.
You’ll practice key techniques like wound care, crowd extraction support, and scene assessment, all through a trauma-informed lens. In addition to skills practice, we’ll hold space for discussion around ethics, tactics, and organizing strategies of street medic work including how to move in teams, protect vulnerable community members, and stay grounded during escalated encounters.
