On April6, 2026, an unidentified masked individual assaulted a Rapid Response observer (Steven Davis) with pepper spray at Walgreen’s in South Tucson.  Initially, South Tucson PD refused to take a report. After community pressure, STPD did take a report, but conducted no investigation.  The conclusion?

“The involved parties appear to be federal law enforcement officers acting in their official capacity…No further local investigation is warranted at this time and this case is closed.”

Join Mr. Davis, Pima County Attorney Laura Conover, and community members at the South Tucson City Council meeting to demand a thorough investigation.
