congress.gov has removed parts of its public U.S. Constitution copy

Update: The sections have been restored on the website.

This link to a feature on the Wayback Machine, hosted by The Internet Archive. It shows the difference between two snapshots of https://constitution.congress.gov/constitution. The one on the left was captured June 1st, the one on the right just today (late night 5th in U.S. time)

It appears that a contiguous chunk of the constitution of Article 1 starting partway through section 8 though the end of that article. I noticed this from a Lemmy post pointing it out. I haven’t seen any theories yet but it’s hard to trust incompetence over maliciousness these days.
